Beatrice Moretti
Architect – Ph.D

Beatrice Moretti (1984) is a PhD Architect and Lecturer at the Polytechnic School of UniGe (IT). From 2010 to 2015, she was Research Fellow at Genoa Municipality Urban Lab and, after, at Genoa Port Authority. Since 2015, she has been a Didactic Tutor at Coastal Design Lab, an integrated architectural and urban design studio held by Prof. Arch. C. Andriani. In 2018, Moretti co-found caarpa, a practice that combines architecture and landscape; in the same year, she has been Guest Researcher at TU Delft (NL). In 2019, she is Lecturer in Urban and Landscape Planning at dAD (UniGe) and, from 2021, at DICCA (UniGe) in the course of Architectural Composition. Since 2020, she collaborates in teaching activities at DAStU (POLIMI) and, on behalf of dAD, in the International Architectural Seminar Villard. She is author of the books “Un colle, un transatlantico, un nome. Tre storie sul porto di Genova” (2018) and “Beyond the Port City. The Condition of Portuality and the Threshold Concept” (2020).
