Michele Manigrasso

O.P.C.I. Scientific director, urban planner and landscape architect. PhD since 2012, he taught Urban Planning at the “G. d’Annunzio “of Chieti-Pescara, at the Department of Architecture and Design of Genoa and at the Polytechnic University of Marche. He carries out research on environmental issues in relation to the urban project, with a focus on adaptation to climate change in cities and territories. Visiting Research at the Faculté de l’Amanegement, Université de Montréal (2009); Visiting Professor at the University of Florianópolis in Brazil (2015); Visiting Professor at the University of Nairobi in Kenya (2018). He is member of the Scientific Committee of Legambiente and Director of the Osservatorio Paesaggi Costieri Italiani. His books concern the contemporary issues related to the urban design, the adaptation to climate change, the regeneration of coastal landscapes and of informal cities. Co-founder of Studio [OPS!] Cingoli / Mangrasso, he has participated in several design competitions, obtaining important awards in Italy and abroad.
